How much is a day ticket on the gates to get into Disney World Florida?
Please don't guess, I need to know accurate prices. I live in the UK and I can't access the American prices online, only UK prices (and it doesn't give individual day prices, only 5 day plus ticket prices) I realise it would be cheaper to buy a 5 or 7 day ticket but my boyfriend's brother (who we are going to Florida with) thinks he knows it all, and he is insisting it is cheaper to pay individually by the day (we are going to Orlando for 2 weeks and we would probably visit disney world at least 7 times whilst there). I would like to prove him wrong (actually I might not tell him and let him waste his money) Thank you.
Answer
you go girl. prove him wrong. a 1 day base ticket is $75 plus tax. so add that up 7 times=$525 plus tax. wow! thats alot. where as a 7 day base ticket is $228 plus tax. here's your solid proof http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/genPage?id=MagicYourWayStarterPassesPopUp so if your boyfriend's brother wants to be stupid tell him he can buy a 1 day pass every time you go and you will be a 7 day pass and spend $300 less.
Has anyone stayed in a Disney Hotel in Florida for 14 nights? I need your help!?
I have just booked a 14 night holiday to disneyworld florida. We are staying in a Disney hotel. I have selected the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan so we get 3 meals per day plus snacks however I figure we are only going to want park entrance tickets for 7 days and spend the other 7 days doing something else like universal etc! Someone said that you can use 2 dining plan tickets to upgrade to a proper table service meal or dining with the characters sort of thing... Has anyone had experience of this....?? Also do I have to eat in my own hotel or can we eat in other hotels on the dining plan? Worried that after the first week we wont have anywhere but our hotel to eat in because we wont be going into the park! Also any tips for going there for 2 weeks? Ie what we should do and where we should go.... Must do's and dont's.. I have also got tickets for gatorland, universal 14 day ticket, dolly partons dixie rodeo night, and the pirate dining experience....
Answer
You can visit and eat at any of the other Disney resorts -- you don't have to just eat at the resort you're staying at. I highly suggest taking some time to do some "resort hopping", all of the Disney hotels are uniquely themed and just fun to go and walk around. I do believe you can use 2 table service credits for a sit-down meal - http://www.disneyworld.com/ should have all the info you need. I also suggest checking out http://www.allearsnet.com/ for 'unofficial' news and information (there's also information there about what to do outside of Disney). Have a great trip!!
Florida with 6 kids what parks do you suggest?
Hi booked up for Florida next June, already starting to regret as heard it might be too hot for our kids. Anyway have already got the discovery cove tickets and the Orlando flexi ticket, but the Disney 14 day or 7 day ticket is just too costly for our large family. Kids will be 13, 12, 6, 4, 2 and 3 month newborn. This is a one off holiday of a lifetime for us and we probably will never be able to do it again. So I was thinking of just going to a couple of the disney parks for the smaller kids but can't decide which ones. What do you think regards the parks and the heat.
Answer
Oh you are so lucky I have been to Florida 3 times and know I won't get there again!! You are right it is a trip of a lifetime. Due to the age range of the children I would definately suggest the Magic Kingdom at Disney tinytots to adults love the place !! Animal Kingdom is good and so is Sea world. June shouldn't be too bad although it will be very hot, July /August can be the hottest. Lots of the parks now have water fountains for drinks around the parks and also they have pipes that spray mist into the air usually you can find somewhere cool. Make sure you all drink lots of water not fizzy drinks. See if you can get out and about earlier in the day and perhaps use the middle of the day for relaxing by the pool as you will all be exhausted. When ordering your food remember they have huge portions over there and they won't be offended if you order one meal to share between two of you we did that all the time. One thing you will not be able to do everything so don't even try. There is a good guide book A Brits Guide to Orlando and Disney World which is updated every year I used to get my copies from Waterstones well worth buying. In the back is pages for you to plan your weeks and also a Busy Day Guide telling which parks are busiest and when, I found it a valuable tool. Everyone has different experiences of Florida all I can say is enjoy yourself and watch the faces of your children because you will be reacting just the same as them. Oh and if the Winnie the Pooh ride is still at Magic Kingdom try it we went round twice LOL!! Take advantage of FASTPASS available for a lot of rides whilst everyone is lining up you get to go to the front and with kids you need it.
will a 7 day travelcard purchased at gatwick station be a paper one?
I need a paper 7 day travelcard for my trip to london to take advantage of the 2for1 offer! I a getting a train from gatwick to london victoria (via southern trains) but according to the tfl website it says that ticket machines in victoria is closed after 4 o clock, ill be arriving at half past 3, so just in case i would like to buy it from gatwick station. but i NEED them to be paper so i can get the 2for 1 discount on london attractions! so if i buy them from gatwick, will they be paper? and if so, do i have to purchase them from a person in a window/booth, of from a machine (i have to collect my train tickets from a machine aswell...)?
Answer
The short answer to that question is: Yes. You can get it from either the machine or a ticket office.
Can I buy Southern daysave train tickets from London Victoria directly?
I'd like to go to Brighton on Sunday for the day. After much looking around, the cheapest option is to get a southern trains daysave ticket at £12 but you can only order them 7 days in advance, Sunday isn't 7 days away. So can I go to a ticket office in London victoria station and buy a daysave ticket for that day for a Brighton train?
Answer
You don't say if it is a return or if so when you intend to return - One way to Brighton is either £10 or £7.50, bought today from http://www.thetrainline.com Off peak open return (same price as a limited return) is £24.50 The ticket you are trying to buy is a cheap deal BECAUSE it is a week in advance, no you cannot use that method in any way now as its too late.
